Product Description

Natural Choice diapers take an innovative environmental approach while incorporating super premium diaper quality. Natural Choice diapers respect your baby's skin, perform like a super premium diaper, and offer a competitive price. Like the highest quality premium brands, Natural Choice offers a stretch waist, full-stretch side panels, premium absorbency (with a bio-based absorbent) and a design-printed backsheet. But the environmental impact of Natural Choice diapers is very different from leading national brands. Approximately two-thirds of the materials used in the leading diaper brands are synthetic and are derived from non-renewable resources. The production of these materials consumes valuable petrochemical resources and in some cases creates adverse environmental impacts. Natural Choice Diapers are designed to reduce the environmental footprint created the the production and consumptiono of disposable diapers. Unlike most diapers, the absorbent padding material in Natural Choice diapers is totally Chlorine-Free. Dioxins and organochlorides are not released into the air or water. Natural Choice diapers also use less synthetic gel material in the absorbent core by blending an innovative bio-based absorbent matieral with traditional absorbent gel material. Finally, the backsheet and topsheet of Natural Choice diapers contain 50% plant-starch based Ingeo (TM) fiber, an annually renewable resource.

"Effective, comfortable, better than big commercial brands" 2009-10-27
By CHmom (Hawaii)
I am very happy with the performance of these diapers. They are just as absorbent as the bigger name brands (Pampers, Huggies) and fit my baby great. The elastic tabs on the sides keep the diaper snug and the material is soft. I use these primarily at night and on trips and have not had any leaks. I have not tried the other "green" diapers but I'm happy to stick with these since they work great.

I ordered this jumbo pack of Natural Choice diapers after finding them at a local grocery store. I was able to try them out first and then take the plunge of ordering 210 at one time! I really like these diapers. I have used only "green" diapers with my first child (except for Pampers newborn swaddlers- b/c they fit the little one so well in the beginning and they are what the hospital supplied) including Nature Babycare, Earth's Best and Seventh Generation. I liked Nature Babycare until they began to not fit very well in size 2 and I didn't want to pay for size 3's already. Seventh Generation are nice because they don't cause any diaper rash and they don't have ANY smell whatsoever. However, in my opinion Seventh Generation are below average when it comes to the leak factor. Way too many spills out of the diaper onto the clothes with both pee and poop. Yuck! So, in my opinion Natural Choice are exactly like Earth's Best diapers when it comes to the smell of the actual diaper (I can smell something on these diapers that I don't exactly love, but it is NOT a perfume) and also the performance of the diaper. Barely any blow-outs unless baby pee's A LOT and then poops on top of that. Natural Choice does fit baby a little better than the Earth's Best though. Earth's Best didn't reach up high enough in the back and leaks seemed to travel up the back, but with Natural Choice diapers the back is nice and high. The decoration on the diapers is fine-- little baby animals in blue and green. Very cute and not tacky. People always review diapers and talk about the softness of the diaper, but unless you are using cloth diapers I think you need to expect that a paper diaper is going to feel a bit like PAPER! :) But if anyone is curious about the softness of the diaper I guess I would compare it to either Seventh Generation or Earth's Best. It is softer than Nature Babycare, but what diaper isn't?? My daughter does not mind the softness of the diaper (as far as I can tell)- she didn't even flinch at Nature Babycare and I think that is the ultimate test. The price on these diapers is pretty great considering they are eco-friendly. They are .22 per diaper in size 3 when using Subscribe and Save from Amazon, compared to Seventh Generation in the same size and purchase method at .27. Pampers Baby Dry are .21 per diaper on Amazon in size 3 and they have all the purfumes and chemicals in them that I would not want touching my little baby's skin. One cent difference between Pampers and Natural Choice and Natural Choice are created to be better for baby and the environment. Bottom Line: no rashes, no perfume smell, great price, nice fit, cute design, and not many leaks.

The diapers arrived on time and the baby, 8lbs.11oz., did not get a rash or appear to have any discomfort. Mother and baby are happy. And they don't have to feel guilty about the environment!

"Leak-proof, but not very soft" 2009-10-09
By Rafal G (Boulder, CO United States)
We got these for our 2 year old son recently, and even though some of the reviews said they were nice and soft, I will have to disagree. Our son complains about them while he wears them, he points to his rear and says that it hurts (I think it chafes his thighs). This has never happened with Seventh Generation, so we're going back.

 "Leaks" 2009-09-14
By Jennabean (Washington State)
Started with Earth's Best diapers, but thought I'd try another highly rated diaper. I cannot continue with this diaper because it leaks when I am holding my son on my hip. It gaps at the leg, no matter how tight I make them. He does have thin legs, so I imaging these diapers wouldn't be a problem for those with thicker legs.
