Amazing quality! Will never switch to anything else!
I was very disappointed that special delivery diapers were discontinued but this was a pleasant surprise! The name “essentials” makes it feel like the quality would be compromised but it’s the complete opposite. Diapers are extremely soft, softer than SD. Print is minimal & does great with pictures or light colored clothing, especially for newborn photoshoots. Very absorbent and incredibly soft around the leg cuffs. Inside material is also very soft (especially for my little guy who has very sensitive skin). My son stays dry and I also don’t have to worry about leaking or diaper feeling moist to the touch on the outside.
These diapers are just like toilet paper; you get what you pay for. As a mom who’s tried every single brand out there, Skin Essentials is worth every penny and never switching to anything else!
My favorite diapers!
I love these diapers! They are very soft inside and out. I have tried all of the Huggies on my 2 year old and 6 month old, and these are my favorite. All the Huggies absorb very well, and prevent blowouts the best for my little one. However, I prefer the Skin Essentials for a couple reasons.
1. They are so soft!
2. I don’t love the double grip strips on the snugglers and movers. If your child is wiggly, it’s hard to get the diaper on without the purple part rubbing them (it’s very irritating if it rubs on the babies skin). Not a complete deal breaker, but something to consider if your child moves around during diaper changes.
3. I prefer these minimalist design on these. Again, not a deal breaker, just a personal preference.
4. They have never irritated my son’s skin who has eczema.
One thing to note, I don’t think they are the best for overnight absorption if your child is a heavy wetter. I do prefer the Huggies overnights for night time.
I did compare the absorption of these versus the little movers and snug and dry. I poured 8 ounces of water and waited 30 seconds to test the absorption. All absorbed very well!
My favorite
This is my favorite brand in diapers. I have 4 kids and I can always trust this brand that they stay dry and won’t leak. They have worked for my babies with sensitive skin, and it’s been the only brand that doesn’t give them a rash. They are good quality diapers and are very soft.
These newborn size diapers were the perfect size diapers for my daughter. She was born a couple weeks early and we started off wearing Huggies premie size diapers. Now that we’ve moved on to newborn size they fit her great. She is 2 months old now and weighs 8 lbs. I’ll have to move up to size one soon but these still fit her great. And the design is cute too. Definitely recommend.
Great product for babies with sensitive skin! 5/5 stars!
When my oldest was born he could use any diaper. We loved Pampers. When my youngest was born I bought the same Pampers we used on my oldest. My youngest broke out in a horrible diaper rash at such a young age. He has been proscribed strong butt cream to help him through horrible episodes. One point he almost had to be hospitalized. We tried the Pampers then Huggies. I read online Snugglers were great for young babies with sensitive skin and it worked until Snugglers were not an option for older babies. The next option was Movers. We tried those but the horrible diaper rash days were back. After buying tubes of diaper rash cream and not being able to see my baby in pain any longer I found these as a suggestion on Amazon. The reviews were great! And at this point I was so desperate for my son to find comfort.. We have used these for almost a month now and they’re such a life changer! We hardly ever have to use diaper cram any more! My son has not cried once since being in these diapers! It’s truly a miracle! The only down fall is the diaper is not as absorbent as the other Huggies brands, I think that’s due to its soft material. Sometimes if my son needs to pee a lot, his pants might become wet. It doesn’t happen often and I’d take that over a horrible diaper rash any day!
