This Bumkins Diaper Cover is made of PUL. Most diaper covers have this PUL waterproof lining in the inside of the diaper, with cotton or polyester covering the cover and on the leg gussets. The Bumkins diaper is like wearing a shower curtain with elastic gussets! My daughter is smaller (she doesn't have those adorable full/chunky baby legs) and I'm done using this cover because of the red indentions I see when using this cover. Yes it's waterproof, but at the expense of the comfort of your child - not worth it.

These diaper covers have been great for me. I line dry all my laundry, and for me the main advantage is that they dry VERY quickly. I can hand wash and line dry them in half an hour on a warm day. Odors and stains wash away pretty thoroughly because the fabric is so thin and lightweight. Mine are still looking almost new after 2 months of daily use.
These diaper covers are completely waterproof like old fashioned rubber pants but much nicer and easier to use. One cover can be reused for multiple diaper changes because they don't get soggy, and if they get damp, they dry out fast. I can use the same diaper cover for at least half a day or until there's a mess if I have to. You can wipe off the plastic coating on the inside as well. I find the design to be more sanitary than others I've seen.
I was given a size medium as a gift, but my baby was able to wear it at 12 lbs. (she has chubby thighs). Since then, I have purchased 2 additional Bumkins covers. I can get by with just 3, but it would be nice to have around 4.

I am not very impressed with this item - I thought I would like them initially because the material is thin and less bully look than its competitors , but it is very uncomfortable. The gussets around the legs dig into my daughter creating red marks. They also do not wash very well - they loose their shape.

This was one of the first diaper covers we bought. We've tried bummis (our other fave), imse vimse, prowrap, thirsties, and these. As our baby grows we're planning on buying 3 more of these as well as a three bummis and three thirsties, just because we like all three brands and the sizing is different for each. These fit a bit smaller than the other two brands.
We really like how quickly these dry, as the fabric is pretty thin. It feels like ripstop nylon, but softer, particularly after a few washes. We have yet to have any blowouts, and even if we forget to use the laundry tabs (which are a MUST on any wrap) the edges don't get caught in the velcro like the bummis and thirsties.
They do fit kinda snug compared to the others, and they have the most "plastic" feel of all the covers we've tried. But it's easy to rinse them off and I haven't had any staining at all, even with the nasty vitamins we have to give our once preemie daughter.
